France - Canal du Midi to Hauteford

Rose and white marble is used for the altars, tiles and pillars throughout the Lauzerte Church. Gilded paint decorates the artifacts and plasterwork in the main nave and the 6 chapels with bits and pieces being added and renovated over the 1600 - 1700s. To us it seems very gaudy but that seems to be what they liked back then.
